What is Cisco Certified Network Associate(CCNA)?
As a Computer professional, you face the challenge of keeping up with the industries advances to maximize the potential of new technologies. You must constantly expand your knowledge and skills and find a reliable way to indicate to your peers, customers and management that you have current and validated technical skills and expertise. The CCNA is designed to prepare the applicants to identify, design and recommend the best Cisco solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. It provides the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting information that technical support people require to install and configure the Cisco products sold through two tier distribution. Lectures, labs and interactive cases are provided to increase your understanding of the products and to best position them to meet customers' requirements.
Why should you become a Cisco Certified Network Associate?
Cisco Systems, Inc. is the leading global supplier of internetworking hardware and software. Cisco Internetworking Operating System (IOS) is a complicated real-time operating system consisting of multiple subsystems with various configuration parameters. Cisco Systems, Inc. is the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet. Cisco products include routers, LAN and ATM switches, dial-up access servers and network management software. These products, integrated by the Cisco IOS software, link geographically dispersed LANs, WANs and IBM networks.  With this fact in mind, every network engineer needs to be able to work with Cisco's products. Cisco's certification was developed to validate the expertise of the network engineers to work with Cisco's products.  Cisco certifications enable you to be certified at various technical proficiency levels. Cisco certifications focus on both Routing and Switching, as well as WAN Switching solutions across the disciplines of network design and network support, providing you with a wealth of flexible options for developing your career. In each case, you have the opportunity to advance to CCIE status by achieving Associate and/or Professional certification in these tracks.
